How To Build a Patio In One Day Or Less
Want to build a patio without really going through all the steps of learning how to build a patio? When you go into any home improvement or garden store you will usually see that they carry something called 'walkway' stones.
Most of the time they come in a large variety of shapes, colors and sizes. You can actually build a patio with these without pouring any cement what so ever. You will just figure how big you want your patio to be.
For example, if you want a 100 square foot patio, you would want to pick up a hundred of these 'walkway' squares. That is because the usual size is about one square foot each. This is the easiest way to learn how to build a patio. Once you know what you want and you have your materials, you will want to dig up and level your ground.
No need for fancy equipment, a shovel and a rake are sufficient to get the job done. Rake the dirt out evenly and place your stepping stones down one beside the other.
If you want to turn your patio into a perfect square, you will want to make ten rows of ten. You want to fit them as closely together as you can. Then you will want to stomp on your stones to set them down into the dirt nice and securely.
Make sure your stepping stones are nice and even. Then you will shovel your extra dirt on top of the squares. It doesn't matter if there's only a little left.
Spread it out evenly over the squares and sweep it off. This will help fill in any gaps or cracks in the squares. Voila! This is one of the easiest ways to learn how to build a patio ever.
